The Cooks: The 3 cooking teams were composed of family members dealing with health issues such as diabetes. Some were at cardio-metabolic risk and others were at risk for chronic disease. Each team was coached by a nutritional advisor so they could benefit by learning to cook healthier meals. Recipes were selected by the advisors and team members shopped for their ingredients. A time limit was set for the preparation and cooking of the meal, with a taste test and discussion afterwards.
Production Team: A crew of 7 videoed the 3 cooking teams in real time. The crew used 3 Sony HD cameras, Sennheiser wireless microphones, Arriflex lights, Behringer audio mixer and a MacPro laptop. This video is a segment of the finished program.
